peer advisors are teenage girls in the MGU program who provide support, guidance and mentorship to their peers in different settings, such as school, community and travel events. Peer Advisors are leaders and act as role models. They often offer encouragement, assistance to their peers to overcome challenging situations, make difficult decisions and work hard to achieve their goals. MGU Peer Advisors help recruit more participants and share information about the exciting things happening with MGU. Additionally, they work alongside our Director and Media team to create content for social media, conduct Instagram live and in-person interviews, help develop social media and donor campaigns, fundraising campaigns, and other communications. This program is designed to refine leadership, communication, community engagement, time management, and public speaking skills. Our Peer Advisors attend multiple community events, and learn from incredible professionals in design, finance, education, human services and communications. We always aim to have a peer Advisor from every grade level.
