Melanin Girls United (MGU) is a non-profit organization aimed at supporting underrepresented teenage girls in Kern County and surrounding areas. We collaborate with local high schools and other agencies to ensure consistent progress and a successful future. We conduct weekly individual and group sessions, regular communication with school staff, and monthly progress reports for parents to enhance each girl's opportunity for success.

Journaling plays a powerful role in empowering and uplifting our girls by providing a safe and reflective space for self-expression and personal growth.

Incorporating meditation into a teenage girl's routine can provide much needed balance and relief especially during those busy or overwhelming days.

At MGU, we actively promote breathing techniques to help our girls remain calm and reduce stress levels as needed.
